Hey There

Thanks for taking time to stop by and learn more about what we are doing here at Feeding Ferry County.  We are on a mission to reduce food insecurity In Ferry County, Washington.  As a neighbors helping neighbors community, it has always been important for us to show up and take care of each other in the good times and the hard times.  We are so grateful to our neighbors who have helped us on this mission and we look forward to growing partnerships as our mission grows.

Who We Are

Feeding Ferry County is a local nonprofit working to reduce food insecurity across Ferry County, Washington. We focus on practical, community-based solutions that improve access to nutritious food for seniors, families, and individuals facing economic or transportation barriers.

The Challenge

Ferry County’s rural geography, limited grocery options, seasonal employment, and long travel distances make consistent food access difficult for many residents. Existing food banks provide essential services but cannot always reach everyone who needs support, especially those in remote areas or those unable to attend during limited hours.

Our Approach

Feeding Ferry County strengthens the local food safety net without duplicating existing services. We partner with food banks and community organizations to:

  • Increase the amount and quality of food available locally

  • Provide free meal kits at accessible, non–food bank locations such as libraries, schools, and community centers

  • Deliver food through mobile and pop-up distributions in underserved areas

  • Share basic nutrition information and connect residents to available assistance programs

Our programs are designed to be flexible, dignified, and responsive to local needs.

Why It Matters

Reliable access to food improves health, supports children and seniors, and strengthens the entire community. Every dollar invested locally helps keep neighbors fed, reduces strain on emergency services, and builds long-term resilience in Ferry County.

How Support Helps

Local support allows Feeding Ferry County to:

  • Purchase nutritious food and meal kit supplies

  • Cover transportation and distribution costs across a large rural area

  • Expand partnerships with food banks and community sites

  • Respond quickly to seasonal and emergency food needs

Our Commitment

Feeding Ferry County is governed by a local volunteer board and operates with transparency, fiscal responsibility, and accountability. Donations stay local and directly support Ferry County residents.
